Rethermalizers: The Right Equipment Used to Reheat Food

Types of Rethermalizers

Commercial rethermalizers are available mainly in three models, which feature different designs and configurations.

1. Induction Rethermalizers

Induction rethermalizers utilize innovative induction technology to heat and hold the food. These can be used for soups, also called commercial soup thermalizes. Additionally, these units can have sauces and melted cheese by rapidly heating them and maintaining their warmth.

2. Water Bath Rethermalizers

Water bath rethermalizers, such as the Pitco CRTE, have built-in wells. The only thing to be done is to set the temperature and run the unit. When it reaches the temperature you set, you need to place the vacuum-sealed product, and the water bath rethermalizer will raise the food temperature to the set level and maintain it at that level as long as you need. They can also be used as Bain Marie with an immersion circulator.

3. Combi Rethermalization Ovens
