Dormont Gas Connectors
Dormont is the synonym for high-quality gas connectors, designed to offer security with practicality with the Dormont Safety System. It refers to the Dormont gas appliance connector kits, which basically include the Dormont blue hose, which features stainless steel tubing and braid construction under antimicrobial PVC coating and rotational fittings. These fittings boast Stress Guard technology that relieves the stress on both ends with a rotational design.
The Dormont Safety System comprises SnapFast, an exclusive Dormont product. It allows one-hand disconnecting of fittings for cleaning or maintenance purposes. At the same time, SafetyQuick obstructs the user from turning the gas on while the appliance is not connected or disconnecting the gas connector when the valve is still open. These units have a thermal shut-off function to cut the gas flow when the internal temperature exceeds 350 °F (177 °C). Some Dormont gas hose kits also include Dormont Swivel MAX®, which has a 360° range of motion to reduce the stress on the connector when the appliances are moved. These units let you place the appliances closer to the wall, replacing the rigid steel elbows.
Dormont gas flex connector sets for moveable appliances are offered under the ReliaGuard® series. ReliaGuard® series includes a sturdy hose with stainless steel tubing, multi-strand braid, and gray anti-flame PVC coating, which is resistant to melting up to 350 °F (177 °C). These gas connector kits are also available with Standard Snap™ QuickDisconnect that shuts off when the temperature reaches 350 °F (177 °C) and SwivelGuard™ multi-plane rotation fitting to secure the connectors.
Dormont connectors are available for stationary appliances. They are designed to last much longer with 304 stainless steel tubing, flexibility, and a yellow antimicrobial PVC coating. Dormont provides quick-disconnect natural gas and LP gas connectors designed for outdoor operations.
