General Description::
- The construction of walk-in facilities will utilize pre-made, meticulously crafted modular panels designed for swift and precise on-site assembly. These panels adhere to the overarching construction specifications and General Design Information reference material.
- In accordance with DOE regulations, both panels and doors are purpose-built and certified for use within walk-in cooler and freezer applications.
- Insulation: The insulation used comprises 4-inch thick XPS insulation. The R-values for these 4-inch panels are as follows:
- Coolers R-29
- Freezers R-32
- All Quick Ship units come with floors
Metal Coatings:
- The interior and exterior surfaces of walk-in coolers and freezers are clad in 26-gauge acrylic-coated stucco galvanized steel. The inner floor boasts an .080 textured aluminum finish. The floor panels are engineered to support a stationary load of 700 lbs. per square foot with even distribution.
Entrance Door:
- Standard walk-ins come equipped with one flush-mount self-closing entrance door. Measure 36" x 78". Their energy consumption rates (kWh/day) are as follows:
- Coolers: 2.77
- Freezers: 7.79 The entrance door includes the following features:
- Adjustable backing plate for each hinge, facilitating in-field hinge adjustment
- Two spring-loaded cam-lift hinges
- Hydraulic door closure
- Deadbolt-locking handle
- Pre-wired compact fluorescent vapor-proof light fixture
- Interior safety release
- Magnetic gaskets along the top and both sides
- An adjustable double vinyl wiper gasket along the bottom
- Drip guard for outdoor models
Refrigeration System:
- Every unit comes complete with either a Self-Contained or Remote Refrigeration System.
Warranty:
- The units come with an 50 year thermal insulation warranty. Extended four-year compressor warranty optional. Panels are covered under warranty for 15 years. Doors and Floors come with 5 year warranty
