Star Manufacturing has been offering a wide range of high-quality, heavy-duty commercial cooking equipment since 1921. After being founded, the company became one of the leading suppliers of the foodservice industry for commercial cooking equipment.
Star Manufacturing, a Middleby corporation, was established in St.Louis, Missouri. After 60 years of manufacturing in Missouri, the company moved to Smithville, Tennessee, in 1982 and expanded it in 1990.
In the beginning, they were known for their hot dog (red hots) machines, fryers, popcorn makers, and toasters. But after a short time from their establishment, they became worldwide commercial cooking equipment for high-traffic operations.
Star Manufacturing was incorporated into Middleby Group, one of the most prominent commercial restaurant equipment manufacturer families. While growing, the group acquired Toastwell in 1997, Holman in 2000, and Langman in 2006 and added new products to their portfolios, such as paninis, drawer warmers, pop-up toasters, waffle bakers, conveyor ovens, conveyor toasters, convection ovens, ranges, and Marine equipment. The plant in Tenessee is also home to other Star Group Brands, Well, and Toastmaster.
