Non-Refrigerated Display Cases

Non-Refrigerated Display Cases To Drive Impulse Sales

Non-refrigerated or dry display cases are perfect for merchandising in bakeries, cafes, cafeterias, entertainment facilities, and grab-and-go applications. Some food items like bread, cupcakes, muffins, prepackaged offerings, bagels, or cookies need an eye-catching presentation to attract customers without requiring refrigeration. Non-refrigerated display cases are ideally suited to this function by keeping products fresh and attractive at ambient temperatures. Also, they are more affordable than their refrigerated counterparts as they do not have a refrigeration system.

Key Points For Buying Non-Refrigerated Display Cases

Non-refrigerated display cases are available in various sizes and styles. Appealing food display and merchandising is the key to boosting impulse sales. Therefore, you must select your unit carefully to fit your setting and needs.

• Interior and Exterior Finish: The purpose of buying a non-refrigerated display case is to attract customers and influence their purchasing decisions. Therefore, you will need equipment that will complete your overall décor. The exterior finish is often customizable so operators can create the most attention-grabbing merchandising effect possible. For example, Federal Industries’ non-refrigerated display cases offer six standard colors: beige, black, cherry, natural oak, walnut, and white. You can also choose between a white or black interior.
• Shelves: Adjustable multi-tiered shelving is common in non-refrigerated display cases. You can thus make all your items visible near the front of the case on multiple racks. Shelf material (glass or metal) and shape (flat or slightly slanted downwards) will also influence the overall look of your dry display case.
• Ends Style: Non-refrigerated bakery display cases can have square, slanted, cubed, or curved ends. You may have several display or refrigeration units with square ends standing flush with one another. Then, a display case with angled ends will temper the total merchandising effect.
• Installation Type: Facilities like convenience stores and supermarkets may have enough floor space for a freestanding non-refrigerated display case. Concession stands, canteens, and office break rooms can benefit from compact and light countertop dry bakery display cases. You can move them around easily as you change your self-serve station. Some brands also deliver drop-in solutions. For instance, the dry display cases by Piper Products drop into your counter or other flat surfaces. They have an open front to expedite self-service.
