Some restaurant and food thermometers are designed to measure temperatures inside various kitchen appliances. Refrigerator and freezer thermometers can monitor the internal temperatures of refrigeration equipment, which is crucial for food safety. Cold ingredients or dishes must always stay outside the Danger Zone (40°F - 140°F). The refrigerator/freezer thermometers enable you to control the refrigeration temperatures even during power failures.
Some refrigerator and freezer thermometers are similar to food thermometers. They come with a long metal probe and a face. However, most models can sit on an inner shelf or hang from a wire rack. With a refrigerator thermometer sitting at eye level on a shelf, you can monitor the temperatures whenever you open your appliance. A thermometer for a freezer can also have an alarm system to warn you of inappropriate temperatures. Like other commercial kitchen thermometers, you have digital and dial options, and remember that digital thermometers for freezers will need batteries.
