HoodMart Ventless Hoods

Hoodmart ventless hoods are self-contained, compact, and portable hoods. They remove the need for complex ductwork, roof fans, and hanging hoods. HoodMart’s ventless hood systems are a perfect solution for places where traditional vented hoods are difficult to install. They come in standard 24 in (60.96 cm), 39 in (99.06 cm), and 48 in (121.92 cm) sizes. Combination units are available for pizza deck ovens in 30 in (76.2 cm) and 50 in (127 cm) widths. Hoodmart ventless hoods have a built-in fire suppression system, but no fire suppression models are available.

HoodMart Exhaust Hoods

HoodMart offers Type 1 exhaust hood packages that capture and efficiently remove cooking grease, smoke, and heat. They are pre-configured in sizes ranging from 4 ft (1.22 m) to 30 ft (9.14 m), and options customized to suit your kitchen’s unique setup are possible. HoodMart exhaust hood packages typically include powerful exhaust fans that draw air and contaminants upwards through the roof and essential accessories like grease filters, mounting curbs, grease cups, hanging brackets, and lights. Choose from the 4 hood types below.

  • Exhaust Canopy Hoods are traditional wall-mounted hoods that extend outward from the wall to catch a wider range of emissions.
  • Low Ceiling Sloped Front Exhaust Hoods are for kitchens with low ceilings; the sloped front design covers a larger area without reducing the headroom for chefs.
  • Low Proximity Back Shelf Hoods are for kitchens where the minimum clearance between the hood and floor cannot be met with a standard canopy; they hang close to the cooking equipment with hanging brackets, relying on proximity to capture grease-laden vapors.
  • Outdoor Hoods are wall-mounted waterproof hoods designed to collect grease and smoke from BBQs and other outdoor cooking equipment.

These exhaust hood systems come with or without a makeup air package, which balances indoor ventilation by supplying enough fresh air to replace the air removed from the kitchen through the hood. A makeup air package enhances indoor air quality, employee comfort, and compliance with safety codes.

HoodMart Food Truck Hoods

HoodMart addresses food trucks’ ventilation needs with hoods specifically built for concession trails. Their low-profile design and smooth top maximize clearance and facilitate installation in a limited space. They are available in multiple sizes between 4 ft (1.22 m) and 12 ft (3.66 m) to fit different food truck dimensions. Each concession hood package includes 12-in (30.48 cm) long ductwork in one piece. HoodMart again prioritizes customization of sizes and features to keep your mobile kitchen up to code.

HoodMart Condensate Hoods

HoodMart’s condensate hoods capture and remove heat, steam, and moisture from dishwashers, steam kettles, and other equipment that does not generate grease. These Type 2 hoods have a build quality to resist corrosion, heat, and steam. Unlike grease-laden vapors that need powerful exhaust systems, grease filters, and cups, condensate hoods use a simpler design with loose mesh wire filters that only focus on removing steam and heat. HoodMart offers pre-sized options spanning from 3 ft (0.91 m) to 12 ft (3.66 m) or allows customization through its online tool.

HoodMart Fire Suppression Systems

HoodMart prioritizes kitchen safety with UL300-listed Ansul and Kidde fire suppression systems, which use wet chemical agents to extinguish grease fires. They come in 4 ft (1.22 m) to 20 ft (6.10 m) and with 1.5-gal (5.68 L) or 3-gal (11.36 L) chemical agent tanks. Kidde’s appliance-specific approach directs nozzles toward the targeted equipment. Ansul’s overlapping nozzles provide broader protection in a simpler design.

HoodMart Exhaust Fans

HoodMart’s variable-speed exhaust fans feature a sturdy, heavy-gauge aluminum construction. They are available in 2 main types to optimize airflow in commercial kitchens. Exhaust fans remove hot, greasy air and smoke from the kitchen; makeup air fans supply an equal amount of fresh air back into the kitchen to maintain proper ventilation and prevent negative air pressure. These fans have direct-drive or belt-drive motors enclosed in waterproof and weather-tight compartments.

HoodMart Ductwork and Wall Panels

HoodMart’s full ventilation solutions include stainless steel wall panels and ductwork to complement the exhaust hoods.

  • Wall Panels: These panels provide a professional aesthetic for the area behind exhaust hoods. They often come with pre-cut slots or channels to integrate with electrical components and grease filters. They are typically available in 2 sizes: 44 in (111.76 cm) or 48 in (121.92 cm) long by 80 in (203.20 cm) or 120 in (304.80 in) high.
  • Ductwork: HoodMart manufactures single and double-wall ductwork that carries the excess heat and vapors from commercial kitchen equipment to the rooftop. These prefabricated kits use steel-to-steel overlapping joints without field welding to withstand high-pressure washdowns. Their diameters vary between 10 in (25.40 cm) and 22 in (55.88 cm).

HoodMart Custom Hoods

Every kitchen has unique needs, and HoodMart addresses this issue with an extensive customization program. HoodMart’s user-friendly online Hood Builder guides you through various specifications to create the perfect ventilation solution for your space. The process begins with selecting the hood type: Type 1 or Type 2. Then, select the size, equipment, style (canopy, low proximity, etc.), ceiling height, and other preferences. You can integrate a fire suppression system and a makeup air package into your selection.
